First of all, I have to say that, having never seen Gwen Stefani perform, she was so much different than I thought she would be. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the whole band made it feel like, instead of 25,000 people, they were performing in front of 100 of their closest friends.
Gwen constantly called people out from the stage: "I know you, don't I? Yeah, I thought I did. What's up?" She had someone come up on stage and show off the tattoo she'd gotten done of the band's signatures (motts! motts!), and then gave her like four hugs. She pulled a little boy up on stage to play a drum when they were doing a drum line. She asked for a sign from the crowd, showed it off and then gave it to Adrian (it was about him). When the show ended, they stayed on stage for like five minutes, bowing, talking to people in the crowd. Gwen jumped down and started signing stuff for people in the front rows, hugging people, etc. When she finally left after everyone else, she ran back twice to sign for people that she'd missed.
There were a lot of people who wanted to hear the song "Squeal", so they played the first verse and chorus, even though she was like, "I don't remember the words! I'm sorry, I don't remember!" It was fucking adorable. She even did the Pete Wentz get-held-up-over-the-crowd bit.
